Artist of the Month

(November)

David Coblitz is an award-winning fine art and commercial photographer, with his work showcased regularly in galleries throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area, as well as in temporary exhibitions at various other venues. He is a former Chairman of the Photography Section of the St. Louis Artists' Guild and has also served as former 1st Vice President of the Guild.

In 2006, after retiring from a long career in aircrew training and simulation product development at companies like McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, Mr. Coblitz founded Coblitz Creative Concepts, LLC. When he left Boeing in 2005, he was leading a team of 33 visual designers as the head of the visual display core competency group. He combines his background in optical engineering with a refined artistic eye to create striking photographic fine art.

Mr. Coblitz specializes in capturing scenes of St. Louis and creating stress-relieving art, which is informed by research on hospital design and aims to promote healing. His work has been exhibited internationally in Lyon, France, and in numerous shows throughout the St. Louis area. In addition to fine art, he offers a range of photographic services, including commercial, interior, and architectural photography.

David's's art will be on display from Nov. 1st - Nov. 25th in scott hall of the Center for spiritual living.
