Artist of the Month

An accomplished artist, musician, and educator for 18 years, Byron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art History, a Master’s degree in Studio Art, and a Master’s degree in Education. Byron has taught fine arts on the collegiate level at Alabama State University, Troy State University, Harris Stowe State University, and Florissant Valley College. He has provid- ed art instruction at Cardinal Ritter College Prep, and in the Hazelwood, University City, Kirk- wood, and St. Louis school districts.

 

In 2018, Byron founded B.A.G.S, a non-profit organization that provides diverse art workshops, activities, and curriculums to youth in the St. Louis community. The organization uses art as a tool to help youth develop a sense of pride, of self, and an appreciation of the arts.

Byron's art will be on display from feb 7 - feb 27 in scott hall of the Center for spiritual living. 

His artwork will be for sale!  Visit the rising thought bookstore to purchase.

Opening Reception

Join us after Sunday Service on February 9th, from 12PM - 2PM at the Center for Spiritual Living, St. Louis as we kick of Black History Month and celebrate the opening reception of a captivating exhibition by artist, Byron Rogers.
